Perfectly correct, Fiona. :)

Your go.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

Sorry for the delay in posting a new question - its sheer laziness I'm afraid, as I've had to get off my bottom and pick up a book to find a quote!

"Now you get away from ourcaravan, please,"said ----- firmly."Go along! Yes,and you too. And is that another cow there? Well, get away, all of you,and dont come back again till morning. We want to go to sleep."
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

It sounds as if it might be one of the children in The Caravan Family.

Was just going to reply that I think this book sounds like the caravan family when I was beaten to it :( Oh well I think I will also add in a name, you never know it might be right.

Was it Belinda?

It was quite a while ago I posted the quote......... but I'm sure it was from the caravan family! And I'm fairly sure it was Mike that said it as the girls were frightened, so over to Moonraker.

Thanks, Fiona.

Who, on going to the seaside, planned to throw sand and water over people?

Is this Amelia Jane - I know she threw water over one of the toys but not too sure about the sand.

Wow that was a good guess, amazing what you retain when reading at bedtme.

Here's the next quote:

"You know, they suspect us of knowing about their prisoner," said _______. "They'll be on the look-out now, more than ever. I guess we shan't be able to do much more signalling to the prisoner boy."

"How funny grown-ups are!"said Anne, puzzled."I'm quite certain I shall be thrilled to see a sliding panel or a trap-door even when I'm a hundred".

Just had to go and look it up, forgot who was speaking!

Yes it was Jack from The Secret of Spiggy Holes. Over to you for the next question.

Thanks Shadow! :D

"And now it's THE DAY!" cried ______ the next morning, rushing to the Window. "And it's a heavenly day, so all the parents will get down without any bother. Gosh, I feel so excited I don't know what I'm doing."

Darrell Rivers. IN the Fifth at Malory Towers:)
"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.
