I think I could do it in a month - but there is the small matter of the Insp exam looming....

I was lucky enough to receive a copy as a birthday gift at the end of June, but alas, I have yet to start it. I will do soon though, I promise!

Re: Zoe Billings - The Mystery of Tully Hall
I've finished reading your book now, Zoe. Enjoyed it. I would have loved a bit more adventure in Tully Hall itself, as I found the hall fascinating, but you have a lovely style of writing. I'll look forward to reading the next book with these four adventurers.
Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

Thank you Julie! That is lovely to hear and thank you for your support
I did edit some of the hall bits out after feedback from a child who test read it... perhaps the next one will not do to the little children and stay for how the bigger children like it!
Hoping the second will make it for Christmas... the four have a whole heap of trouble so sort through in that one!

Was that before or after I read it? I'm not sure that I noticed anything 'missing' but my memory is atrocious when it comes to books I've read
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I have read all I can through the "Look inside" feature on Amazon, and like it so far. I have now paid so that I can read it all on my Kindle - at £2.99, a bargain!
One thing I did notice was that the paragraphs weren't indented. I did find it a little awkward especially if the preceding paragraph line went to the full width. However, that is probably me being pedantic - I am not so tolerant as I was once accused to be!
I'll let you know what I thought when I have read the complete book.

Thank you Nige, I will ensure book 2 has indentations...
Fiona, some.before, some after.... a lot of descriptive went out about the windows and castleations went out after, apparently children are not interested in that. It hurt to remove so had the hall on the cover to make up...
Cover for book 2 is already in mind. Title is done. Just a small matter of the rest

Good morning all,
Just to say, if anyone is interested in buying my book for Christmas, I have ordered some lovely bookplates to be able to sign and add any dedication, post them for you to insert, make it a bit more special.

Read the first one and am halfway through the second one. Would never have heard of it if not for these forums. I am very much enjoying them, wonderful stories.
