Looking good, Julie! Have you had any children or teachers buying your books since these school appearances?
I've so far made about £12 in royalties from my Amazon published book, lol!

Thanks, Sixret, Robert and Courtenay. Yes, I think the children even the teachers thoroughly enjoyed the morning as much as I did, Courtenay.
The questions they asked me when I spoke in their individual classes were extremely good questions.
I'm happy to go along to any school the marketing department get in touch with. They ask me if I want to go etc and when I say yes, the marketing them give the schools my email details and they speak directly with me. My next date is Camelford Library on the 30th May, where I'll be signing copies of my book there, and the publisher will promote the date and they sort out the posters and get the book marks sent through etc. So basically I don't do anything just turn up.

I believe so, Robert. The school I spent the morning with want me to go back and sign the copies the children buy. I took along a lot of bookmarks, which the publisher sends me for promotions, and some of the children wanted these signing too.Rob Houghton wrote:Looking good, Julie! Thanks, Eddie and John.
I replied sadly not, as my name isn't JK Rowling or David Walliams.

Wonderful, Julie. What a charming question. It would be great to see your book made into a film.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

That's really great, Julie - I hope these appearances generate a big interest. It could really take off!Julie2owlsdene wrote:I believe so, Robert. Re: The Mysterious Boy - Julie Robinson
I thought I'd allow myself a little bit of fun today, seeing my book on Amazon Uk showing 69,318, on the Amazon Selling place list.
I know these figures go up and down as Amazon sells it's books, just like the quiz on here, your name goes up and down on the list, and that figure will alter as the day progresses, but I also noticed that some of Enid's books were not as high.
Some of the Adventure books - started from 75,394 and rose up to 134,257 as in the case of Castle of Adventure. So I'm really thrilled to see that my own book is topping my favourite author, albeit maybe for only a day.

You'll have to work a bit harder on your marketing, Rob.

It’s interesting to see where you are both ranked on the Amazon Selling list, Julie and Rob.
