Re: Nina Bawden
The last two nights we watched the BBC TV adaptation of Nina Bawden's 'Carrie's War' again after a gap of maybe a couple of years or so. Once again it struck me how well acted it is - how close to the novel it is - and how they just don't make children's TV series like this any more, sadly. I would go so far as to say its probably the best adaptation of any children's novel done by the BBC.
