Two Thrilling Terms

Post by Yak »

This was a favourite of mine as a child, though I've tragically lost my copy - which was originally my mum's. It's Nancy Breary, I think, a one off about a girl named Sally who goes to boarding school and befriends a famous actress who has been sent there too. Anyone read it?

I've read it. In fact I've got all of Nancy Breary's published books - she's a lot easier to collect than Enid Blyton, only 27 published books (plus at least one published as Ann Beverley).

"Two Thrilling Terms" featured Sally Latham befriending a child film star called Drusilla Cathcart. And Nancy Breary evidently liked the character, because she published three sequels - "The Lower Fourth Excels Itself", "Juniors will be Juniors", and "Mainly About the Fourth". I think they're the only characters she wrote about more than once.

Oh hey awesome, I did not know there were sequels! I will put them on my Christmas list. Do they tend to be expensive?
