Yes Julie,all hardbacks.I have a few collections of Agatha's books,but this collection,along with the 1960's 'Greenway Edition' of her work is one that even Agatha herself really liked! :D

Thank you Nigel.I've been watching them being sold for fairly high prices on ebay for about 2yrs.I was toying with biting the bullet and paying a large amount for the set,but decided to wait a bit longer.I'm sure I got this set cheaper as its description was a bit vague compared to many of the others that have been advertised.! :D

Thought this might be of interest;

Greenway, yours for just £6,000
Colin Cadle blogs about how he found an original advert for Greenway when it was up for sale many years ago.

Property in 33 Acres, sub-tropical gardens, overlooking the River Dart - £6000 or near offer!

I guess the fans of Christie will judge the new book when they've read it. Hopefully with an open mind.

But, but, Poirot is DEAD! There was an obituary in the paper! :wink:

I'd actually love to read the new novels, so will reserve my judgement, or lack thereof, for later.

Yes, Poirot died - but that doesn't mean a 'new' story could be set in his lifetime, does it? :roll: The fans are mostly angry about this - one has just announced she is 'unfollowing' on Facebook. Incidentally, the website has had a major revamp, so might be worth a visit.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself brought him back, not some other writer.

A very sad book, which I have only read twice. Each time I have had to read an earlier Poirot straight afterwards.
