Joyce Stranger

Post by shadow »

I don't know if anybody has ever read any books by Joyce Stranger but they are very good books to read. They remind me a little of the Enid Blyton stories but are aimed at an older audience. One story in particular that could have come from Enids pen is A Dog called Gelert. Tis story involves a boy who's father has to leave the country and move to the town to find work. The boy, who loves the country, has to live in a block of flats and is very unhappy. He desperately wants a dog and makes up one called Gelert who he whistles to and pretends is his very own dog. A lot of her other stories involve animals and one of them is about a man who becomes blind and has to have a guide dog. Very good books that some people may want to take up.
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy
