Mine is OakChestnut18117. I agree, it does get a bit boring after the chapters have been explored, and all you can do is brew or duel. But I suppose after the awarding of the House Cup the second book will be available for exploration.

She didn't. She said "I don't go on it anymore".

I think it will be a lot more interesting when chapter two is available.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Wonder how I missed this thread! Well done, whoever bumped it up. I enjoyed reading all the posts. :)
Kitty wrote:I wish he'd died! I never thought he would, mind you, but it'd have spared us the epilogue of doom!
Actually, I have always thought that epilogue served a very good purpose. No, not as a part of a story, and yes it is pretty dire, but in one stroke, Rowling has got rid of the nasty little sequel and prequel industry. By shoehorning in the epilogue and lot of other back story, not to mention all her blogs on the books, all of which is now canon, she has pretty much finished off whatever scope there might have been for people to write derivative books, and make money off of what is essentially her creation. I am sure that was her motive, because she is supposed to have remarked at one time that she doesn't want to see others write things like "Harry Potter Goes to the Moon" and so on. I myself am sick of seeing sequels to Pride and Prejudice, Gone With the Wind, and now there is apparently an erotic version of Jane Eyre. I will say this for Rowling - she is not only a very imaginative writer, but she also clearly has an excellent head for business, and is equally clear-headed about things like intellectual property rights.
