After reading the manual of the boardgame 'FAMOUS FIVE KIRRIN ISLAND TREASURE QUEST',
I do have a couple of questions that someone on this forum might be able to answer:
1) The pack of voyage cards
This pack contains the following types of cards:
-buoy tower card
-buoy hook card
-reef rocks card
-reef snorkeling set card
-lighthouse tower card
-lighthouse key card
-wreck boat card
-wreck oxygen tanks card
-cove entrance card
-cove map card
-Timmy card (6x)
-Hamper card (6x)[/list]
Q: how many of each cards does this pack contain?
(as the manual only states the amount of the Timmy- and the Hamper cards are both 6, I assume there are, at least, 6 cards of each of the remaining card types)
2) The Pack of change cards
This pack contains the following types of cards:
-Julian card
-George card
-Dick card
-Anne card
-Safe Passage card
-Under Full Sail card
-Treasure Stolen card
-Favorable Wind card
-Pilot card
-'Lunch box empty return to base to re-fill' card
-'Lunch box washed overboard' card
-Permission To Sail card
-'Timmy jumps overboard' card
-Becalmed card
-Timmy Saves The Day card
Q: how many of each cards does contain this pack?
3) The 'discard pile'
After shuffeling and dealing the Voyage cards, remaining cards must be placed to form a 'discard pile'.
Q: Should this pile be placed face-up or face-down?

Interesting looking game - with a rather suggestive looking lighthouse...

Re: Board Game: Kirrin Island Treasure Quest
The lighthouse, reef, cove, buoy and wreck cards (blue) are in pairs, so only one of each of those you've listed (i.e lighthouse and lighthouse key are a pair).
The chance cards (pink), include one for each child.
My board game is incomplete, but I have:
Safe passage x 1
Under full sail x 3
Treasure stolen x 2
Favourable wind x 3
Pilot x 1
Lunch box empty x 2
Lunch box overboard x 2
Permission to sail x 1
Timmy jumps overboard x 1
Wave washes Timmy overboard x 1 *
Becalmed x 2
* This card isn't shown in the cave, but it depicts Timmy falling backwards off the boat, with wind coming from the right. The text reads, "Wave washes Timmy overboard. He swims to shore and is safe but you must return your Timmy card to the bottom of the discard pile and your boat remains stationary until you pull up another card."
I'd be interested to know the correct number of each card too, so I can print the missing ones and play the game.
Discard pile - the instructions inside the box lid don't seem to indicate the facing of cards, but I'd probably play with them face down.

My game isn't quite complete either (one ruby is missing), though it's playable.
Ice_Gemz, I have all the same Chance cards as you but I also have one 'Timmy Saves the Day' card.
Arj0n, my Voyage cards are exactly like yours - i.e. there are only two cards (each with a different design) for Buoy, Reef, Lighthouse, Wreck and Cove.
The game is pretty much the same as the board game Buccaneer, which my sister and I had when we were children. The only difference is that this one has a Famous Five theme. It's a bit odd really that the four children are rivals in The Famous Five Kirrin Island Treasure Quest, with each character having his/her own boat and trying to collect a piece of treasure from each location while preventing the others from doing so!
