Oh Yes!
Superb B&B - you have set the bar extremely high, superb last lines both!

Great pomes, Barnard.
I thought we might be working our way through them chronologically, but I see inspiration struck about Pantomime Cat.

The Pantomime Cat pome just came into my head and I thought I should post it before I forgot it.

Enjoyable 'pomes' Bertie, Pete and Barnard.

I'm reusing an old Limerick I wrote about Disappearing Cat. But I'll also try to write a new 'pome' as well...
When Tuppin - who everyone feared,
Announced 'Dark Queen's disappeared',
Suspicion fell on Luke,
Who just stammered and shook,
As Goon roared and old Tuppin sneered.

Re: Pomes (Poems) Inspired By Ern Goon
Fatty knew who had stolen Dark Queen,
and everyone did assemble.
Miss Harmer, Luke and Lady Candling,
Tupping and Miss ‘Tremble’.
“Tupping’s the one”, said clever Fatty,
“Not Luke or Miss Harmer.
So they can rest more easily,
and certainly much calmer.”
Goon took Tupping right away
and Fatty spoke to Lady Candling.
“The case is solved at last’” he said.
“Things just needed careful handling.”
Although they thought of Luke as a friend,
never more did he appear.
And as Enid Blyton might have said.
‘I think that’s rather queer.’
and everyone did assemble.

The loss of Dark Queen, creates quite a scene,
Has someone stolen her away?
She returns unclean, but where has she been?
Well she's back, and back she will stay!
But sadly not so, Because once more,
That cat disappears again!
And just like before, Luke's in front of the door,
Is he really the one to blame?
The children think not, and so are distraught,
At the sight of poor Luke's grief.
A smell and paint spot, help Tupping get caught,
As do his boots and handkerchief!

Great stuff! I particularly like the double rhymes in your latest 'pome', Bertie!

Thanks, Anita.
I love reading (and trying to write!) double rhymes in poems. Sometimes it makes it a lot more difficult, other times it flows and isn't that much harder. This was one of the latter so was very enjoyable to write.

Moving on then to The Mystery of the Secret Room. I'll start us off with a Limerick and work on a longer one. Hopefully there'll be plenty of other pomes as well.
When Pip fled and climbed up a tree,
He was thrilled to find a mystery,
With Fatty now in charge,
The excitement loomed large,
And it was all solved so masterfully.

A secret room. Oh how excitin’.
From the top of the tree, Pip saw right in,
While there Fatty napped,
and ended up trapped.
He was freed with invisible writin’.
