Lovely calenders. I will order both nearer the time I think. What a pity the Famous Five Annuals that ran from 2014 - 2016 were stopped.

I'm hoping that we will have a Calendar Club shop open up here later in the year, we have in the past.

It's worth a look, but last year the two calendars I wanted were cheaper to buy from the Calendar Club website than from the actual shop as there was a discount which only applied to online purchases.

The Rupert Bear calendars used to be stocked by The Works, Pete, who sold them for £3 each. However, for the last few years I haven't been able to find them at such a bargain price.

John (Pickup), those Eileen Soper cards would look super in your library.

I miss the annuals too, John (Lucky Star). I'd have loved to see a general Enid Blyton Annual containing material from her many different genres, showing what a versatile author she was.

Haven't there already been a few of those...?

(I bought one of these — I think it was the fourth one — a few years ago as a present for Mum, and she LOVED it!)

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I've got three of the Magazine Annuals, No's 2, 3 and 4. Still looking for a copy of No1 with a decent wrapper.

The Enid Blyton's Magazine Annuals are great (none of mine have dustwrappers, sadly) but it would be wonderful to have a larger-format annual highlighting aspects of Enid Blyton's work that aren't as well known today, with pieces chosen for their quality, variety and artwork. The Big Enid Blyton Book (Paul Hamlyn, 1961) did a similar job but it would be good to have a new book with different selections.

I've always liked the idea of an Enid Blyton book with a story extract, poem, article or letter for each day of the year - some pieces accompanied by their original illustrations and others having new illustrations in a style sympathetic to the era in which they were written. An artist like Ruth Palmer would be ideal. I suppose such a book would be expensive to produce though.

I've just been advised by email that the two calendars I pre-ordered which were due out in September have been dispatched already. So if you were waiting for them to become available before ordering, then now might be the time to place your order.

My famous five calendar has arrived much to the chagrin of my family and I intend to put it up on the fridge.

Ooh I'm going to get one of those for my dad as a stocking filler! He'll love it as much as me! I wish they made a diary too, I've had quite a few Calender Club calenders and diaries, they're very good quality.
