I agree Jack. Glad to see the revamp.

What a great write up, I can forgive the slight error over her first book.

Well done, English Heritage. After all, Enid Blyton is part of our heritage and it's good to see the organisation change its stance.

A very welcome change of heart by English Heritage. A very fair write up.

Yes, it takes a degree of confidence and decency to spot ones error and acknowledge/ correct it.

I know I defended EH, but I'm glad they've taken the time to write a more balanced bio.

Of course, this new one won't make newspaper headlines or cause thousands of comments. I wonder how many people are still angrily boycotting EH and have no idea that it's changed?

Well done Anita ('Anita' underlined - I'm not sure how to do that). English Heritage are simply reversing a wrong which should not have been perpetrated in the first place.
And Jack, I think that the problem with the oversight about 'The Enid Blyton Book of Brownies' is that it doesn't sound like a novel. Until very recently I thought it was simply one of her collections of short stories. As no doubt most people would think of my personal favourite , 'Boys' and Girls' Circus Book'.

Well done Anita! It is now a far more balanced overview, which is a relief.

Many thanks to Anita for taking the time to contact EH and well done English Heritage for taking notice, but as Fiona says this won't be reported in the newspapers unfortunately.

English Heritage have just had their plans - with government approval - to have the A303 by Stonehenge tunnelled overturned. A terrific achievement and example of people power.

Yes, or people can use the 'Post a Reply' button which also brings up those options (instead of 'Quick Reply' which is there by default).

By the way, I wasn't implying that English Heritage altered their entry for Enid Blyton as a direct result of my email. No doubt they were contacted by quite a few Blyton fans!
