I had a schoolfriend who had a shed, well, it belonged to his parents obviously. Four of us would play board games in there sitting on the wooden floor when it was raining outside. I remember it was more of a work place than a storage shed, there was a long table on one side with a vice and tools hanging above it. I still think it wouldn't have been big enough for seven children and a dog though!

Another most interesting thread. I have always had (and loved) a shed. As a child, I'd sit in our shed and imagine four friends sitting with me to make up the magic five. I was a pretty sad kid who had a 'best friend' throughout my schooldays, but was never one to be in a gang. Incidentally, I must compliment you, Pete, on your posts. You put so much work into your posts (without extraneous emojis!) that must take up considerable time.

I now have a summerhouse, but the atmosphere in my shed beats it!

I once called your summerhouse a shed and instantly felt your wrath!
Don't know if I've seen a pic of your shed?

It's got to be better than Tony's which I now believe is a listed building....
