I immediately thought of Sue when I saw this Secret Seven badge!

I was sure that Sue would love it.

It's still available, if you click on the eBay link under the photos in Pete's post above.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I like the seller's description, which begins: "To some it is but a throwaway old badge but to the more discerning it is a piece of cultural heritage and is most collectable." The description serves as an introduction to used badges in general, pointing out common defects, though the Secret Seven badge looks to be in excellent condition from the very clear image that is provided.

I haven't seen this badge before. Does anyone know when it was made? It looks quite modern to me.

It's just over 20 years old, Eddie. It was a free gift with the third Mystery and Suspense magazine in May 1997. I've got the magazine but not the badge.

Thanks for the information, Anita. I must admit I've never seen a copy of the Mystery and Suspense magazine. I'll have to keep a lookout for copies.

It does say or make an offer, Sue. Why don't you put in an offer and see if it's accepted.

Re: Secret Seven Fan Club Website
There were all sorts of stories - not just Secret Seven. I think they were brilliantly produced magazines with some great artwork. I only have one issue of the Mystery and Suspense Magazine - it features The Boy Next Door told in comic-strip format, part 1 of 'Five Go To Smuggler's Top' in comic-strip form (very much based on the 1990's TV series characters) and a Secret Seven comic-strip based on 'Secret Seven Adventure, called 'The Secret Seven and You' - which encourages the reader to work out the clues before turning each page. Plus there were features on secret codes, detectives, crimes to solve and how to draw Timmy!Susan Webster wrote:hi , never heard of the magazine either. sadly cant afford the badge on ebay . probably gone by now . no worries. i cabt afford to bid . was the magazine all about the secret seven and did they have adventures?

Re: Secret Seven Fan Club Website
Hope you get it someday, Sue.
I bought all 10 magazines and the free gifts were still attached to the magazines for £10 on Ebay either in the end of last year or early this year. The magazines looks unread. I am thoroughly happy with my purchase.

Looks like a great magazine. I don't remember hearing about it before.
