Neasa wrote:Hi Julian. Yes there was a famous five club, but i don't think its still 'in existence', although i could be mistaken. It was formed so fans of ff could recgocnise each other.

The Famous Five Club raised funds for the little Children's Home in Beaconsfield, which cared for deserted children. there was a club badge with the faces of the famous five on it. Badges do sometimes come up on ebay. They're nice little items to have!

It was formed in September 1952. Hope this helps!!
is this little children`s home still in existence Beaconsfield? if FFClubbers could raise money for it . as was used to .

Could I just say that posts are easier to read when they're not written all in capital letters, Sue! Cheers!

I don't think Sue intended to write in capitals - I would imagine she possibly hit the Caps Lock button by mistake. Probably a good idea to check your post after submitting, Sue. :D

With regards to collecting for charity, JustGiving is an online charity-raising site, and might fit the bill for forumers to contribute safely online.

I got some nice Dean Popular Rewards series Blytons. Not old ones though but they look good on my shelf.
