The Poor Old Teddy - 1937

Today, we go back a few years earlier for this story of a broken, mistreated toy.
Again it is a Teddy Bear, and again like the story from 1941 'The Dirty Old Teddy', the toy's owner is called Joan.
Is it the same 'Joan' from the 1941 story?
Could the loss of Teddy's eye and his loose arm be clues?

Lovely story, thanks Pete. Now where do I get an earthenware jam jar and a hat pin?
