Oh dear, shades of Winks the brownie eating his way out of the prison with walls made of chocolate cake in The Wishing-Chair Again, and then never being able to stand chocolate cake again afterwards! A fun little story, thanks Pete. My only quibble would be that the title describes it as a "magic" Easter egg and there's no indication at all in the story that the egg is magical in any way, just very big! But maybe Enid didn't choose the title herself.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
