'The Little Lucky Man' is a cracking story, full of interesting happenings and lengthy enough for us to get to know the characters. I didn't come across it until I was an adult but I still found it very enjoyable. I hadn't seen the illustrations by Dorothy Hall before, Pete, but I always admire her artwork. Incidentally, there seems to be a bit of text missing at the bottom of page 82 or the top of page 83.

Nice story! The ‘lucky man’ is a precursor of the almost invisible microchips that you can adhere to your valuables these days.

Cheers, Pete!

I can't help thinking that since the bike had been repainted and had its saddle-bag changed, the bell would also have been replaced. On the other hand, maybe that was the only bell that fitted that particular bike.
