Thanks Pete, that's a lovely story and not one I've read before. The title put me in mind of the Alice in Wonderland play I was in in primary school, I played the frog footman and one of my lines was "I shall sit here, on and off, for days and days..." Even after 58 years I can still remember my lines.

A lovely story, thanks, Pete. I remember how much I loved seeing daisies in the lawn when I was very little and how upset I was when Dad mowed the grass and cut all the daisy flowers off!!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Lovely story Pete :) :) :)

I found some of these tiny daisies in our lawn this week! I was wondering how I could encourage more of them - I imagined the back yard with a complete groundcover of tiny daisies and no grass to mow, perhaps alongside some lovely clover providing lots of flowers for the bees.
Grass is overrated, especially cooch grass :( .

Where the hell have you been?
Me and Jomo have been working our butts off keeping the forums filled with interesting Blyton content, haven't we Jomo?

Oh, and I think Tony has been pottering about a bit too, knocking a new Journal together!

Heh - I like the idea of Anne and the others coming across a stash of Journals!

Great to see you posting, Courtenay! I was wondering where you'd got to! Hope all is going well with work and with life in general.

I didn't come across 'I Shall Sit Here' until I was an adult but Enid Blyton's nature stories are always of interest.

Yes - brilliant Anita - really made me laugh.
Mine seems to have updated text - maybe it's a Hachette job??

Generally here in Cheshire (which, happily, isn't hell) :D

No, seriously, I hadn't gone anywhere — and yes, all is going well. For some reason I just haven't been making as much time to potter about in the forums as I used to! But I have looked in several times recently and I think I should get back to posting more often.
