Tasmanian shortbread

Anyone tried it? Is it nice ? Can you buy it in the UK?

Never heard of it, and I'm from just the other side of Bass Strait... mind you, I've never actually been to Tasmania. I can only find two specific brands made over there, Cripps and range TASMANIA — have you encountered them somewhere, Pete? Other than the made-in-Tasmania tag, it doesn't sound like they're any different from ordinary Scottish shortbread.

On the other hand, macadamia shortbread is a genuine Aussie treat... :D

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I"ve been to Tasmania a few times but have never heard of their shortbread as being a thing.

Here in Australia they're mainly renowned for their apples, beer, wine and dairy products.
