Sounds like you went down Ffordd Penllech Stephen, it's the steepest road in the UK! It's so steep you're only allowed to drive (if you're brave!) or cycle down it, not up, because if you met someone coming the opposite way and had to stop, you wouldn't be able to take off again. They like steep hills around here, the little village by Fairbourne, right across the estuary from Barmouth, has a side road leading up to the mountains behind which goes almost vertical when you first turn up to it!

Cwtch is indeed a lovely word, which I use everyday.
I might have said this before, too. Cwtch is a lovely beer brewed by Tiny Rebel, a brewery in Newport. Although there is no literal meaning, I was told the nearest was a cuddle or a hug. I certainly hugged a few pints when I found some in a pub in Clapham recently.

I'm a week late in looking in on this thread!, but hope everyone enjoyed their celebrations and daffodils? We're hugely fortunate to live very near the enchanting City of St David's and never tire of visiting the Cathedral, Bishop's Palace, a delightful nearby bookshop, and much more. It was on the Wales at 6 news on 1/3 that an artist had created a beautiful floral "picture" of Dewi Sant on the sward at the Palace, must go along this weekend and see if its still there.
