That's interesting, Anita. I'd heard of the Groundhog Day Musical but hadn't realised Tim Minchin wrote the music and lyrics for it. I knew he'd done so for Matilda. I'm glad you enjoyed it - it sounds good.

I've seen a lot of musicals over the years, and Groundhog Day is one of my favourites. My daughter and her boyfriend went to see it at the Old Vic as well, and they loved it too.

Not sure about Groundhog Day but Tim Minchins's songs and lyrics for Matilda are brilliant. I especially like 'Naughty' and 'When I Grow Up' .

I also haven't seen Groundhog Day, but I have seen Matilda and I also thought Tim Minchin's work there was brilliant. (And, as my parents — who are big fans of him — would be quick to point out, he's Australian. )

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

The musical of Matilda is another favourite of mine, but Groundhog Day is every bit as brilliant.
My daughter and son are fans of Tim Minchin and have seen him on stage twice (several years apart) when he's been on tour in the UK.

Bertie, it's a cute movie and we watched it every year on Groundhog Day in February.

After having finished reading Nora Roberts' crime novel "Angels fall" I watched the TV movie based on the book. It's even better than the book!

I treated myself to a re-watch of Cold Comfort Farm last weekend, after it was broadcast as part of BBC 4's literary feature.

I recently watched Carry On Sergeant. Not because I was particularly in the mood for Carry On that day, but rather I just wanted an idea of what National Service would have been like back in the day. I presume it wasn't entirely true to life, but it was actually quite heart warming.

We watched the first 2 episodes from "All the Light we cannot see" yesterday afternoon on Netflix and will watch the two remaining episodes this afternoon. I've tried to read Anthony Doerr's novel, but couldn't get into it. Will give it another try (we'll visit St. Malo in early May).
