I agree with Julie wholeheartedly! I never look at mine unless some posts or threads remind me of my post numbers like this thread!

I agree. I never notice mine either, unless someone points it out, or we have a post like this!Julie2owlsdene wrote:At the end of the day, does it really matter how many posts we have. As I said, I never even look at mine, and was quite surprise to see the number that was under my name!

Yep same here, though 5 years ago... (Whoa, has it really been almost 5 years? )
Lol I'd forgotten about that!Daisy wrote:To some degree because there was a threat of having the count number removed altogether!Darrell71 wrote: Thankfully, the craze died down after a while, and I don't think the situation has ever repeated itself.

Of course, many were just changing a letter to a word. Not sure if that counts as "interesting"!joanne_chan wrote:Congratulations on 10,000 interesting posts, Eddie.
I couldn't either. Four pages when I looked. I see a further cull ahead...Rob wrote:I can't believe there are so many posts all about someone reaching 10,000 posts,
It obviously does, Julie. As the highest-count poster (poster, not poser) I rather like being at the top of the pile. Not that this has anything to do with my genius status, just the fact that I have been on here for so long! It is only a matter of time until Anita passes me, like a ship in the night, as she now posts more than I do. I have never contributed to the Change a Letter thread, so I didn't suffer with the effect of the pruning of that thread!Julie wrote:does it really matter how many posts we have. Back to the topic, you are a genuine person Eddie, and although you have posted fewer than half of my post count, to my knowledge you have never been controversial, upset anyone, spread one comment over four posts or shot any pigeons. Well done, old friend.

True, Nigel, our Eddie is a genuine forumite, and keeps his cool at all times.

Am I the only one who didn't get what pigeons have to do? Or is it pigeons and posts?Moonraker wrote: Back to the topic, you are a genuine person Eddie, [...] or shot any pigeons.
Btw, how come we don't have a thread for Nigel reaching his 20,000th post?!

I said in an earlier post on another thread that I had shot some pigeons, Sunskriti, as they were a pest in the garden. Unfortunately, it provoked no reaction.

It provoked some reaction in our house Nigel. Mark said "Good for you"

Of course we all know that Nigel wouldn't harm any animal or birds. He just loves our Rosie!

Your kind remarks about me are much appreciated, Rob, Nigel and Julie.

We have pigeons here too, awful pests they are, but thankfully for us Scamper usually keeps them at bay.
