An excellent come-back tonight by Everton from being 0-2 down at home to Crystal Palace to win 3-2 and escape relegation.

Although I am probably asking too much, I am now hoping that Aston Villa can repeat tonight's 1-1 result against Burnley, or even better it, on Sunday at Man City to help Liverpool win the title.

Agreed on both counts John! Meanwhile here in Germany Barnard's team lost their first relegation match yesterday, but only by 1-0, so hopefully they will do better in the second match on (I think) Monday.

I think if Quälix remains in charge they probably will do better in the new season. I also hope that VfB improve next season, as they also only just managed to survive!

Unfortunately Quälix has no interest in renewing/extending his contract with Hertha, so they are now looking for a new trainer!

As a lifelong fan of Everton if they get beaten 3-1 by Liverpool they will have got out of it lightly!!

I’m kind of glad Everton didn’t score 9 goals today, Pete! However my son and I were sitting next to Carpediem at the Celtic x Rangers game earlier today, and we were all belting out You’ll Never Walk Alone, but I’m glad to report that we were all fully clothed!
