I have made a little video called I vow to thee my country; a song of allegiance which I am releasing now, in time for St George’s Day this Saturday.

The words are based on the oath made by our new citizens at a Citizenship Ceremony.

If you like it, please send the link to anyone else you think may enjoy it.

England doesn't have a readily identifiable song in comparison to Scotland the Brave or Men of Harlech.

Happy St George's Day - though I think I've seen more Ukraine flags than English ones around my village!

On St George's Day, my favourite patriotic song, which was also my Dad's, sung by the late Dame Vera Lynn.

Funnily enough - growing up in England (into the 70s) I never heard of it. It's only in the last 20 years or so I've become aware that it's even a thing.

Jerusalem?

Even though I love the song, I do find it strange that a national song is titled after a place overseas.
