Re: Happy Birthday Francis
Happy Birthday Francis Hope you're having a great day.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I presume that's a slip Pete - not sure to suggest it's a Freudian one?:lol:pete9012S wrote:Well done Francis!

Re: Happy Birthday Francis
Thank you all so much for all your best wishes but I must admit to being the best poser rather than the best poster (my head swelled for a very short while) - how did you find out!
We have been out all day facing the lovely weather, terrible traffic and had a pub meal in Dorking and went round the antique and charity shops. No Enid Blyton books so I settled for a book on the Black Death - how sad is that! Safe in our house now with a cup of tea and the heating on so all is well with the world.

Didn't realise you left a link for the 'smilies website', you get your hilarious cartoon creatures from, Nigel!
Liking this one:
"Beware of young men with long hair - that's what dad says, isn't it?"

I agree, Poppy. They are superb and I shall definitely be making use of them.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

I must thank Deej for 'the best poster' quote - I wish I could live up to that but I can think of many others who are far, far better.

Still trialling other writers, but will eventually go back to reading a bit of Blyton! Just too many books...
Occasionally will pop in! xx
