As long as they lay them!

Big beak is an ex battery hen, 5 years old (a good age for an ex-bat) and moving towards egg retirement. The others lay about 5 eggs a week and there is nothing better than collecting a fresh egg, still warm, and having it for breakfast.

There's a cockerel/rooster next door to our holiday house and it's driving me mad! It crows until at least midnight and starts again about 4am. It was even at it yesterday afternoon when I took a nap - its like it knows I'm in bed!!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Never mind Fiona, the blanket of snow you are supposed to get in the next day or so might shut him up. :D

Unfortunately the snow is only on the hills around here, we've had none in the village.

I don't think anyone invented wind! But I agree, it makes bad weather much harder to bear!

As Billy Connelly once said - there's no such thing as bad weather - just the wrong clothes.

Yes, I've always wondered why Enid's best-known dog character had such a silly name as Timothy!
