I find the chocolate tastes just the same in either.

But you’d break your teeth if you tried to bite into one of these.

I think the most obvious one is 'balbals' which should be 'baubles'.

Now there's a spelling mistake I've never seen before... I wonder if someone assumed "bauble" is somehow derived from "ball-ball" with the double Ls made single??

In any case, I would have thought cats are far more of a menace than dogs are when it comes to attacking Christmas trees, but there you go...

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Yes I've never seen baubles spelled like that before either! You'd think someone would have checked it but it gave me a giggle when I saw it. I immediately thought of this thread .

Courtenay the rest of the poster was giving tips on how to keep dogs safe around the tree. Although they generally won't go after them the way cats do, many owners don't think about them possibly choking on or swallowing small plastic decorations, eating chocolate ones, chewing fairy light cabling, going after the presents underneath etc. I also got a similar poster for festive food safety off them but there's no mistakes in that one :D.

Do you sometimes experience this: You look at a word and you know there is something wrong but it takes you a while to figure it out? I just wrote in another thread about food and allergy warnings "after that they could by a few products" and realized that something was odd with "by" - but I couldn't immediately see what I had to change. (I figured it out in the end .)

I often write replies to posts and then read them before I submit them to make sure they are correct. I then read them again AFTER submitting them, only to find a spelling mistake (or mis-type) that I never saw when I checked it before submitting. I suppose that is similar, Hannah.

I only noticed it after submitting it too but edited the post.
Obviously this was a mistake the spellchecker couldn't notice as "by" exists as a word too. I always check the words with the red underlining.

I've just been reading some on-line safety tips regarding games for young children. It's a resource that is recommended by schools, so ought to be pretty good.

One section talks about educational games to teach children basic maths which feature "they're" favourite characters.

Hmm, looks like whoever wrote the article could do with signing onto a basic English grammar app!!!
