Nigel, I'm a hopeless case regarding technical things.Moonraker wrote:I have emailed you with instructions and a couple of screenshots, Chrissie. Hope it helps.
I just tried it (sorry it took that long to get back to you) and I cannot find "unfollow" in "Your Groups" on FB.

Nigel, maybe not (yet).Moonraker wrote:I am pleased to announce that we have now managed to sort out Chrissie's problem!
How many days after I "unfollowed" these 13 friends will it take to no longer get the many posts of things that they share in my inbox?
I still have to delete dozens and dozens of unwanted e-mails per day.

Re: General Natter Room
I don't know what Nigel shows you how to do but I suspect "unfollowing" people and unsubscribing to emails may be two different things.
To stop the emails I would imagine you should:
Click the down arrow at the very right of the blue bar at the top of the screen (beside the padlock icon)
Click SETTINGS on that drop down menu
Click NOTIFICATIONS in the list at the left of the new screen
The second item in the middle of the screen should be EMAIL and to the right click EDIT
You should then see a very long list of about 55 options. Mine says all 55 are unsubscribed and I have the option to click TURN ON. You will want to click TURN OFF to anything you don't want. Such as POSTS FROM CLOSE FRIENDS, and any COMMENT ones you are getting and don't want to.
You can also select the middle option from the top three to only recieve IMPORTANT notifications by email (that's what mine is set to.)
I only get emails when I'm tagged in posts or comments.

"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Not a happy day but it makes you all the more glad for the sanity personified by Enid and her wonderful imagination.

Francis, I'm sorry to hear you had a difficult day. Glad to know you can take comfort in the world of Blyton, as we all do.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

oops! I wasn't speaking personally but of the international news of hatred and violence. Thank you for your concern - I should have been more specific.

Ah, yes- an easy mistake. Indeed there have been, on the news, happier reports.

Ah, I hadn't seen the news since this morning. Yes, there have been a lot of horrible reports lately, but this one hits closer to home for Britons. I hope they soon find out who is responsible for the attack.

I suppose we forget that Enid grew up in a world with two horrendous wars, never mind the Boer War, the Korean War and the 'Cold War'. No wonder she created another, kinder world to live in

Re: General Natter Room
What a world we live in when nearly all of the atrocities are committed by people who supposedly believe in God, and create chaos in the name of religion.
It makes you wonder if the world would be a much better and safer place if there was no religion.
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
