Thanks for the messages everyone! I'm back from having my tea out. I have to admit the only Blyton in my day has been the forums and my birthday card from Stef! My day has been fairly good (did have to go to work though, groan!) but instead of my usual 5.30-9.30 I requested an earlier shift and ended up working 2-6 so I could still go for a meal after. I've had half a pitcher of mojhitos which I still can't spell...so apologies for the rambling! *hic*

ETA: And there's a party here as well, what more could you ask for?

Woohoo I'm three years younger! Best birthday present ever!

Thanks everyone but unfortunately despite requesting the day off well in advance I have to work this afternoon. (They could have had me work last Sunday or on Thursday instead, but no, apparently I have to work today, the second-last Saturday before Christmas.)

I'm going out for a meal when I finish though, so it's not all bad.
