Thanks everyone. I had as nice a day as current restrictions allow. Ewan and I went for a walk this morning ( and saw a red squirrel) and then stopped at the shops to get something nice for lunch at home. We are getting a pizza delivered tonight for tea.

I've just read a story in one of Enid's 'Old Thatch' books about a red squirrel finding a grey one taking all his winter store of food, and the grey one saying how it and its friends were planning on taking over the woods and fighting the red squirrels, so the red squirrels sadly left.IceMaiden wrote: I'm jealous of your red squirrel sighting! I wonder if Enid or anyone really thought that 80 odd years later that the red squirrel would be all but extinct in the wild in the UK.
The story says that the grey squirrel had escaped from London Zoo, but I think that was probably a bit of poetic licence on Enid's part.
