We didn't actually get snowed in, don't worry — it just stayed on the ground that day and the next and then got washed away by rain the following night. But I was driving through Derbyshire today and there were still snow patches on some of the hills in the Peak District!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Thank you, Anita and Katherine. I've had a lovely day, and my daughter surprised me today with a trip to London on Saturday, to stay overnight, so we can see the Christmas lights and the Christmas shops in London. :D

Thank you for your lovely card, Anita, and thanks to Tony for his cards also.
