Elevazione by Domenico Zipoli — a lovely relaxing and, well, uplifting piece of music, with a slideshow of beautiful flower gardens in this case as well. Enjoy!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Damia - La Guingette a Fermé ses Volets
https://www.dropshots.com/Domino43/date ... 5/16:53:40" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
She was born Marie-Louise Damien in Paris in 1889. When she was 18, she began taking lessons from Robert Holland, a French singer/songwriter, who launched her career. Holland was married to Fréhel at the time, but he soon left her to have an affair with Damia. She went on to become one of the three most popular female singers in France (along with Édith Piaf and Barbara). She died in 1978.
The title of this song translates as “The tavern has closed its shutters”.

Brilliant. Classic rock ‘n’ roll from Little Richard. Here is the B-side of the UK release of Long Tall Sally: the equally classic Tutti Frutti:

Both songs were performed by Little Richard in the 1956 Bill Haley film, Don’t Knock the Rock.

Meanwhile, in honour of the upcoming new film, someone has created a truly unique version of the Star Wars theme...

Great track, Pete. My daughter and son were big fans of Dexy’s Midnight Runners in the 1980s.

Here’s a fantastic track by Billy Fury from 1960,Wondrous Place :
https://youtu.be/L3oF1KJnJjI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It only reached number 25 in the UK charts, but it was good enough to be a number one hit in my opinion.

I'm a fan of Eileen Soper and 'Come on Eileen' but I'd never put them together before!

I've known that song for years (all my life, probably), but could never make out enough of the lyrics to figure out what it was called and had no idea until now!! Well done, Pete.
