RIP George Michael. :-(

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Odd to think that over thirty years after it was made, two people in that video died within hours of each other.

RIP George Michael. A giant of the 80s.

That makes me feel so old! Lol! It still feels like a 'modern' Christmas song to me!!

Rick Parfitt, you mean, Stephen....? :(

Incidentally, from what I read online, George Michael was always involved with charity work. So when Band Aid happened, he took part in it, as it would have been in line with his own charity work. What would annoy me, though, are those people there, who only did it to be seen, so to speak. And for no other reason.

Yes, Rick Parfitt. As far as I know, they're the first people from the original ensemble to pass away.

Lovely, María Esther. Amazing that Dame Vera is still with us and is headed for her 100th birthday in March, bless her! :D This is one of my own favourites: A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Dame Vera Lynn will be 100 on 17th March 2017. She lives in Ditchling in East Sussex which is about six miles from where I live.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.
