Up The Junction by Manfred Mann from the 1968 film of the same name starring Dennis Waterman and Suzy Kendal. A fantastic film starring my favourite building, Battersea Power Station!

I passed that on the train into London Victoria just a few days ago. They have scaffolding up around a couple of the towers at the moment. I wonder if they are finally going to do something with this amazing building.Petermax wrote: my favourite building, Battersea Power Station!

I think the scaffolding is only there for essential maintenance. All kinds of silly plans have been floated but none so far show this building any proper respect.Lucky Star wrote:I passed that on the train into London Victoria just a few days ago. Here's another song from Up The Junction I Need Your Love. Watch out for a very young Maureen Lipman singing this.

Greenday - Basket Case
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

We're going where the sun shines brightly
We're going where the sea is blue
We've seen it in the movies
Now let's see if it's true.
Everybody has a summer holiday...
