A great track, Dave. I love the music of the 1930s in general and the recordings of Lew Stone and Al Bowlly in particular.

Glad you liked it, Eddie. That one's a bit unusual as Al Bowlly doesn't just sing a vocal chorus, as was usual for band singers in that period.

Thanks Pete. A great scene from a great film.

A special week of beautiful music on Classic FM's late-late show - Myleene Klass, who usually presents Sat/Sun nights, has been standing in for Marguerite Taylor and has excelled herself, its been delightful tuning in from 10pm - 1am!
"Its a magic wood!" said Fanny suddenly.

Me too. I remember dancing to that one at our school social when I really was only 17 — although the song itself is a fair bit older than me (and no, I didn't find myself a king on that occasion, but I hadn't really come to look for one)!

While listening to my recordings to check out which one I have to discard and which to keep, I just listened to Stevie Nicks' "Beauty and the beast". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X70uN_EtZJA
