Thanks to one and all for remembering my birthday and for all the good wishes. I had a lovely day, the highlight of which was a two hour walk in the beautiful natural park and forest surrounding Schloss Filseck in the last of the Indian Summer weather, which is forecast to change to rain tonight. After our walk my husband and I had a picnic complete with birthday cake and we are now awaiting the arrival of our son for a birthday meal!!!

Many thanks to everyone for the birthday greetings and good wishes! The celebrations actually started yesterday when I met my son in Stuttgart and he treated me to a delicious pre-birthday meal as he is travelling to Munich today on business. He did offer to postpone his meeting in view of the occasion, but I felt that it was more important than my birthday and our private celebration yesterday evening was just as pleasant!!! This morning I have been overwhelmed with phone calls, e-mails and What's Apps and one of my friends called with a bag full of presents, so I invited her in for a cup of tea (in contrast to me she dislikes coffee and never drinks it!) and we had a great chat! My husband and I will celebrate with a nice meal this evening, so all in all I am having a super time.
