Thanks for that one, Pete — I enjoyed it. Incidentally, I was in St John's Wood (home of Abbey Road Studios) just a few days ago, but didn't have time to go and visit the world's most famous zebra crossing!!
Now I'm wondering if anyone with Photoshop skills could do us a spot-the-difference with Sgt Pepper's...

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

KEVP wrote:Of course, despite his violent youth, John Lennon eventually became a pacifist. There are some who seem to believe that his pacifism may have come from his guilt from believing that he may have been the cause of his good friend Stu's death.
But again, we really can't say for sure.
And yet the BBC have recently had a 'celebrating John Lennon' feature, despite the man having been violent to women and men (almost bragging about the former at one point), homophobic (he once almost beat a man to death after he suggested JL was gay), a drug addict (heroin at one point, no less) but apparently that's all OK....
But because Enid Blyton used gollies in children's stories she can't be celebrated.... Double standards methinks.
Rant over!

Prawn mayonnaise.

Some cuddly toys from my childhood that are misshapen, matted and falling apart at the seams.
What is the scariest animal?
Any snake that's likely to regard me as prey!
Apples or oranges?
Oranges because I'm allergic to apples.

Yes. Among others, I've got Jemima Rooper's autograph (on my One Man, Two Guvnors theatre programme from 2012).
What do you think happens when we die?
I'll wait and see!
Favourite action movie?
I don't watch many action films but I do like Stormbreaker (2006), based on the Anthony Horowitz book.
Favourite smell?
I'm torn between secondhand bookshops and cakes baking in the oven!
Least favourite smell?
Rotten food.
Exercise: worth it?
Yes - I love walking.
Flat or sparkling?
Depends on my mood.
