I have now reached Chapter Seven and it is really exciting...I will pass no further comment as I don't want to spoil it for those who have not yet read it. I am glad to hear that Daisy enjoyed writing it just as much as I am enjoying reading it and hopefully there will soon be a follow up!

Make that three! I have just finished it, reading it over four nights. A great story indeed.

I notice many squares or diamonds with a question mark inside. To a pedantic person such as I am, it is quite annoying! I think it must be where you use a hyphen and for some reason the program doesn't recognise it. It's obviously a software issue. Not your fault, old thing, but I thought I'd mention it!

I've now started on The Glen of Adventure, ?s and all!

Hi Nigel. that fault appeared when the website was updated after the crash some months ago. Tony pointed it out to Keith who, I thought, had rectified it. I've just checked and they no longer appear for me. I agree it is very annoying.

They no longer appear for me either, Daisy, but I'm sorry you're still seeing them, Nigel. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Thankfully I have no squares or diamonds with a question mark inside either, but they must be very distracting for those who experience them.

Thanks for your explanation. I have just checked The Glen of Adventure on the website (I downloaded it to my Kindle for more comfortable reading) and it is still the same for me. See excerpt below:

enough to feed them all we did bring a few sandwiches but a little meal here would be very welcome."

"What on earth...?"

Everyone looked out of the window and saw a plane rather larger than Bill's swoop down and come to a shuddering halt just before the end of the runway. Bill and Olly ran out of the office and onto the tarmac before the pilot managed to jump from the plane. They ran across and began to question the man. The children watched with interest as the man waved his arms about as he talked.

By the time the children were back, Bill and Olly were also back but in the office once more

Obviously Keith's rectification didn't reach me!
Bill Cunningham wrote:"We're crossing the border now," said Bill. "If you look to your right you may see Hadrian's Wall stretching right across the moors and hills. It marks the border. Welcome to bonny Scotland!"
Incidentally, it is rare to pick fault with Bill Smugs, but although the wall is close to the border, it is wholly in England.

How lovely to have a new weekly serial, I've just read and enjoyed the first installment. Thank you Ilsa, looking forward to see how the story develops.

Yes, it's lovely to see a new serial. I was quite surprised when I looked on the Home page. Read the first chapter straight away. Started very well Ilsa. I'll enjoy reading each week I'm sure. :D

I have now read the first chapter and although I am not a great 'fan of the SS the mystery has me totally intrigued and I can't wait for the next chapter. Many thanks Daisy and great work as always!
