All my editions have Sardine, so that clears that little mystery up nicely. Mind you I have read one of the books I'm sure where Snoek was mentioned, but I much prefer Sardine! :lol:

I guess it all depends, as always, on what we first encountered. The first Barney book I ever read was the second edition hardback I bought from a school jumble sale in 1981, so I've always been familiar with the name Snoek, even though I had to ask my mom what it was! 8)

it is amazing how they do it (meaning Julie and Rob and other authors of the serials).
I am always one behind as I like to download the whole book, so I will be downloading "Narrow Boat".
