It's a rare book and one I want but even if I wanted to I couldn't pay this much for it after digging around and finding out it was sold a few months back for £2.50 originally!

Most interesting IceMaiden. Thank you.
Wonder if Tony could ever print this book as a Society booklet!?

Re: Benjy and the Others
I did by a chance. I've been looking for a copy of this book for years and after seeing the one on eBay I thought I'd see if any other copies had become available. A bookshop came up with a copy along with some other books back in February that says sold with no price but if you go on their facebook page and scroll back to the February comments the book is there with a price of £2.50. I'm 99.9% sure it's the same one that's now on eBay as it's got identical tears/blemishes in the boards in exactly the same two places. Also mentions crossed out names on the endpapers just like the one on eBay..

The saddest thing is I had a copy of this book as a child, I've no idea what became of it, I don't have it now. Here's an idea though, can we persuade Tony to reprint it as a Society publication? I'd buy at least half-a-dozen copies, one for me and the rest to sell on Ebay!!

Re: Benjy and the Others
I won a copy of Imogen's book for £3.50 buy now on ebay.
Suddenly a few days later the seller said sorry, the book was out of stock.
They then listed the same book for sale for £60 a few days later... Grrrrr!

Well, under these circumstances I would have notified Ebay. Too much coincidences there...

Re: Benjy and the Others
I searched online regularly for an affordable copy of Benjy and the Others for several years but never succeeded in finding one. In the end, however, I managed to get hold of a run of Sunny Stories magazines dating from 1952, which contain the serialisation of the book. It's an interesting story as it's different from the two previous titles, concentrating on Benjy rather than on all three siblings. However, I prefer the first two books. Benjy often feels unhappy and left out in the third book (Jack and Jane go to school but he doesn't yet) so there's an air of sadness hanging over much of the story.
Sorry to hear that you didn't receive your copy of Imogen's book, Pete. Like Wolfgang, I'd probably have notified eBay.

Re: Benjy and the Others
Yes, I did raise it with ebay and as the book was part of a 'buy one get the second half price' deal I was able to leave a negative review of the seller's conduct.
Not something I like doing, but it was all a bit underhand.

Re: Benjy and the Others
Thank you Katharine. I do have a copy already.
My intention was to procure it and offer it for it's original low sale price of £3.50 to anyone who might have wanted a copy on our forums here.

Re: Benjy and the Others
I have only just noticed that the seller of this ridiculously priced book has put a quote underneath.
To quote "It is unusual that this was the only Blyton story to be serialised in Sunny Stories that was not immediately published as a book on completion. It ran between July and December in 1952, but only appeared in book form when the first two books in the series were republished by Latimer House in 1955. One of the reasons for its scarcity is that I don't believe it was ever reprinted".
He is actually quoting me from the Cave but didn't have the manners to ask me first! This book would be expensive if he was asking £50 for it, £525 is insane and I hope that nobody is stupid enough to buy it.
