Ah yes, but Holden is still owned by GM as far as I can tell, not Peugeot. I wonder if this will mean that future Holden cars will be different from Opel/Vauxhall? But this is having less and less to do with Enid Blyton badges, so I'd probably better leave it there...Wolfgang wrote: Actually people wouldn't be wrong about it any longer after Peugeot bought Opel/Vauxhall from GM...

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

As it seems Holden doesn't exist any longer, GM closed the factory in 2017.

They do still exist as a make of car — they just don't build them in Australia any more, but import the cars from overseas. My Dad has just bought a Holden Astra in the last few months.

Here's one starting at £8 - but I'm sure there will be cheaper ones around soon!

Re: Magazine badge for sale.
I think it's the one I posted earlier Rob? Sue may have missed it as the thread changed tack.

The original badge was sold on 12 Oct, 2016 for a very reasonable £1.40.
There is currently another badge for sale on ebay - albeit at a higher price:
Vintage Enamel Badge - 1950s Enid Blyton's Magazine Club

I have one of these badges myself and I must say there are extremely good quality and built to last!
Best Wishes
Pete

Ah yes - my mistake, pete - the thread had moved on since then and I didn't realise!
