Re: Welsh Adventure
It might be helpful if you could say who wrote the book Sue. That way people may be more interested especially if its by a famous author.

Re: Welsh Adventure
Is there a plot summary on the book, either on the back cover or inside the front? Would it be too long to post it here?
Is it part of a series? Is there a dustjacket? What is the condition?
It could interest me, but I'd want to know a bit more.
Regards, Michael.

Re: Welsh Adventure
I picked up this book at a sale this weekend - just paid £1.00 for it - with dust wrapper. So far I'm finding it quite good. It is written in the first person which I am not too keen on, but this is done well. I'll give a final opinion when I finish it..... which I will do within the next couple of days.

Try The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Daisy - written in the first person but is considered by many to be Agatha Christie's masterpiece.
One style I simply cannot stand (or even continue to read) is a story written in the present tense.

Thanks Nigel. I just checked through my 27 Agatha Christie paper backs and that title isn't there! It's years since I read any of her books - these old tatty copies cost 2/6d each. Maybe I should have a re-read some day!

Re: Welsh Adventure
I said I would comment on this book when I'd finished it. It is quite a good and exciting adventure but definitely aimed at an older readership than the ones Enid Blyton wrote for. It's a darker story than any of hers and the young people involved are young adults rather than children.
