My book arrived today, and it's lovely. Did you make/draw the dustjacket yourself? :)

I've ended up ordering you some stamps from the internet, they should be with me in a few days and I can forward them on to you.

I've also just made my donation to charity - I already support the NSPCC and the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, so I chose to donate to Barnardo's.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Thank you Fiona! Great charity choice, lets put it forward is a good motto.
The enclosed envelope I drew yes, I was going to use it for the book, but when I put the book in to test it, the envelope looked to flimsy so I enclosed it for you as a little surprise! Great news on the stamps.

It's a nice drawing, reminded me of Nancy Drew a bit.

My mum was very excited when I showed her the book as she had Cherrys to the Rescue as a child (it's still somewhere in our house as far as I know), and now she wants to read them both :)

Dear Cherie,
That's great,thanks for the books.
I'm reading one of the Secret Seven's right now...

I must say, as one of Enid's characters themselves might have declared; "The Secret Seven taste so much nicer when reading their adventures from the original 1950's hardbacks.."

Many many thanks once again

Pete
