Chrissie, a big hug for you and Andre, what a nasty time you've had. And losing Cody who was such a big part of your lives. How you must be looking forward to your trip to France, you both deserve a break.
cheers

Re: New Ebay Rules
IceMaiden, it is true, and their procedures are as Anita listed. But it is obvious, it is only a token procedure, to be seen to be doing the right thing, or perhaps they only action it, like Judith said, when someone complains. And they did remove my listing and sent me the procedure explanation.

Re: New Ebay Rules
That's interesting Anita. Perhaps that was the same for Ebay Aust and they just don't check very often. I sold a copy of The Three Golliwogs a few months ago on Ebay!! I agree with the principles in the ebay statement you listed above so I can't really complain. Not that I believe Enid ever saw or c...

New Ebay Rules
I had the 'weeties' Golliwog booklet on ebay for sale. Today I received an email from ebay saying they had removed my entry as they have updated their racial policies and Golliwogs and the word golliwog are no longer allowed. I thought I would let everyone know. I assume it is all of ebay and not ju...

Re: Andrew Maunder Interview, Australian Radio Programme
I also listened to the David Bevan & Andrew Maunder interview and was very impressed. I assume David Bevan was an Enid Blyton reader when he was young because he spoke with such fondness of her work. He is an interviewer who can be very strong in his views and it was great to hear his positive c...

Re: THE WRITER Dec, 1951 – Enid Blyton
Pete I have both those magazines, but where?? I am still unpacking in my new house, The library is the last room to be done & as it is half the size of the bookroom in my last place, it's going to be a challenge. I was astonished I managed to find that newspaper with Enid's poem for the Queen's ...

Re: R.I.P. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Very sad to lose this wonderful lady, like Judith, I also remember, our class lining the street in Adelaide to see the Queen wave to us in 1954. Most classes from most Adelaide schools there. It was such a wonderful event and never forgotten. How lucky we were, that she lived to such a great age and...
