Re: Six Cousins
I fully agree with Spitfire!! The Six Cousins are (and always have been) my very favourite Enid Blyton books and I first read them almost 40 years ago. I totally recommend them and I trust (indeed hope) that you will enjoy and derive as much pleasure from them as I did.

Re: Peterswood life during term-time
A happy medium would be nice. The interest in his appearance started when he was about 15 years old. Like me he is rather small, thus I think that he has a bit of a complex about his short stature and tries to compensate by styling his hair, using expensive after-shaves etc etc and training in the g...

Re: Peterswood life during term-time
Girls certainly learn to wash their hair, Katharine, but hair management is  not high on the to-do list of any boy I've ever met.... :!: :?: Aurélien, you have never met my son and some of his male friends....you should see some of the preening etc that goes on in the bathroom. I was shocked ...
Re: Kiki
I never really liked Kiki...indeed I always found her a bit annoying. My favourite animal is of course Boodi and I also like Dark Queen!!

Re: A Map of Peterswood
The various characters mentioned in The Mystery of Tally-Ho Cottage are also missing, namely: Mrs. Peters, Tally-Ho House, Mr and Mrs Larkin, Tally-Ho cottage, The Daniels family, High Chimneys and the Woosh family, who lived in the cottage at the back of High Chimneys (Mr. Woosh was the Daniels' ga...

Re: A Map of Peterswood
Well, "The Mystery of Tally-Ho Cottage" was a bit disappointing in terms of geographical details. Enid Blyton provided very little information. The only glues (sorry, clues) are as follows: (1) Tally-Ho house is situated down by the river. At the rear of the house a wicket gate opens on to...

Re: General Natter Room.
I don't know where Dick is, but here in Baden-Wuerttemberg the schools don't reopen until Monday next, 11th. January. I always hate it when the holidays end as I detest early mornings. Seems most uncivilised to have to get up at 6h15, especially in the dark, cold days of winter. It is not quite so t...

Re: A Map of Peterswood
If nobody else wants to do it, I can do "Missing Man" or "Vanished Prince" when I have finished "Tally-Ho Cottage". However, I don't have a great deal of time and have only reached page 59 of "Tally-Ho", so it could well be next week before I get around to &qu...

Re: What's your Favourite Barney Book?
Ring o' Bells is my very favourite (and indeed one of my overall favourite Blyton books). I just adore the atmosphere of Ring o' Bells village and wood. However, I enjoyed all the Barney Books, although unfortunately I have never read the Ragamuffin Mystery so can't compare it or comment on it. Chee...
