Re: EB Day 2008

Being 2 of the other people who could not make it on the day and for that we can only apologise.
However, the pictures and reviews make it sound as if it was a very enjoyable day - so we are very disappointed that we missed out. Looking forward to next year already.

Re: Birns Book

Tony

Many thanks for your information - much appreciated. I will amend my copy so if I do see them I know what to ask or look for. It is noticeable that the Chums book has been withdrawn again.

As for Sunny Stories I am gradually building my collection.

Re: Birns Book

The cover is the same as in the Bibliography. Unfortunately though the Bibliography does not state what the stories are - only where there came from and as I do not process theese books can not ask the seller. The stories are also uncredited. Presumably as Aunt Fanny says she has spoken to the top m...

Re: Birns Book

They have now been withdrawn. To say I am annoyed is putting it mildly. I put these in my watching and was going to make a bid - knowing there were contributions from Enid in them.

Unfortunately I have not read any of the Adventure stories yet (something I must get around to doing) So have not selected an option. However I did (and still do) enjoy the FFO books.

Sorry to go off topic but to answer Anita's earlier reply re stamps. The answer is yes I do (although Sue will probably say there is not much I do not collect). If I recall you live in Essex. There are certainly Stamp Clubs or more correctly Philatelic Societies at Benfleet and Basildon (which I use...

Yes I was at the day and yes I was sitting behind Viv. I did not realise this was happening until it was almost over - to busy chatting to my partner and reading the Blyton books I had bought. We were going to come on the picnic but decided to give it a miss - mainly because we had not brought anyth...

I never really liked Magpie - I always thought it was a rip off of Blue Peter which I enjoyed. My other favourite Children's TV programmes were Ace of Wands Gerry Anderson stuff Twizzle, Fireball XL5, Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet & Joe 90 (Sadly Four Feather Falls was before my time) ...

We have 2 cats - 1 male and 1 female called Tom and Sophie. My step-daughter has 2 Russian Hamsters - who I feed and water everyday and she occasionally cleans out - I do not know their names.

If we have come second bottom does that mean we get relegated and are therefore out! Hope so then the BBC might do something better with my licence fee. Sorry do not like the programme.
