Re: Secret Seven Readathon for Bonfire Night

Excellent idea! I loved it! Too bad I couldn't read the book in time for November 5th,
but I still remember a lot of the plot because I've read it two or three times before.
It's a very nice story. I make believe I'm one of the gang! It's so exciting!

Well, I think that finding out that there's a kidnapped prince from an unknown country inside a little room is a bit far-fetched! Anyway, I enjoy all Enid Blyton adventures. Don't see anything wrong with the Pantomime Cat. I liked reading about all the pleasant bike rides in order to reach the neigh...

Re: Secret Seven Stand Out Moments

I loved the atmosphere in Fireworks. The Secret Seven going to school in the morning, looking forward to their secret meeting at the club house in the afternoon. They couldn't even pay attention to the teacher! Peter and Janet were very good hosts and they all could help themselves to a cup of steam...

Adventure game books

Does anybody remember some books which were based on the Five adventures, but could have
different plots and endings, depending on some cards you drew?
They were very creative and you also had some props to help you along the way

Re: Which is Blyton's weakest book?

Other than that, I love all Enid Blyton's books, even the ones considered as weak. I have read them and enjoyed them thoroughly.

Re: Which is Blyton's weakest book?

The Put'em Rights Didn't like the ending. A poor abused dog stays with his wicked owner, because the kids want to give the abuser another chance. A working class boy who has been a true member of the club gets Class conscious and leaves the club, because he realizes he's better off playing with boys...

Re: Which Enid Blyton books do you remember from childhood?

The Saucy Jane Family I read the series when I was 7 I loved reading about their adventures on a canal barge
and at the farm. My aunt used to give me FFO books for Christmas or for my birthday. I've been in love
with EB books ever since!

Hi ! I'm an overseas reader!
My favorite character is Julian. He makes the group feel secure whenever danger is around.
You can rely on him anytime. He'll have the solution to a problem
