Re: Hate the modern illustrations in today's Malory Towers books
Hate is a harsh word but I agree-the Egmont covers and illustrations are way too modern! I actually like EB's books without illustrations as I can 'paint' a picture in my mind of what's happening...But if they have to put in illustrations, I prefer the originals-

Hmmmm...
Ahh yes, The Faraway Tree. My mother read this book to me each night when I was younger and she would only read a chapter each night so I had to wait until the next night until I could find out what would happen!

I find Peter's attitude towards passwords, meetings etc... To well I guess you could say he was overdoing it a bit with the others. As Moonraker said, it would be obvious to see who it was by just looking out the window!

As Anita said that there are some characters that Enid Blyton described as: 'plump, fat etc...', I couldn't give an exact opinion.

Boy or Girl, eh???
Well I guess it would be better for the monarch, but I would like to see a female heir.
But I don't really mind. But would at least like Kate to have at least one boy to secure the line (after his father, William).

Re: What is your house like?
My house hmmm.... If you look at it front on, it's quite Victorian like and has a large garden in the front (and back). It's what I'd describe as a cottage really. It's painted pink and green with a little driveway on the side and a big Liquid Amber Tree in the front (looses it's leaves every Autumn...
