Re: I'm a Moose again
Heh hi Anita I am having some display problems which I suspect might be due to using an elderly browser but I will try to do an upgrade.

Display problem
Not sure if anyone's mentioned this before as I've been away but the display is not working for me .. everything is gray and all the texts are overlapping. Sometimes it shows as it should but most of the time it isn't .. do I have a browser problem?

I will spare you all the tragic tales of my computer and connection woes but anyway, here I am .. again. And as when I came to the site on this computer it logged me in as Moose automatically, Moose I am again . But I don't know what the password is *looks tragic*

Re: Hitchhiker's guide series
I've never seen either adaptation but I really must do so :) I am nearly at the end of Restaurant, but I haven't actually picked it up for a while. I like it and it's fun and well written but it's the sort of thing I can only handle in small doses I think :). I can't explain why too well .. it reall...
Re: Twins in the books...
I don't think I've read Five on a Secret Trail .. there are at least two and possibly three FF books I've not read and that one does not ring any bells with me. I remember twins featuring in Five on Finniston Farm tho .. fraternal twins. I was quite disillusioned when i realised that it's not actual...

Re: Outdoor Christmas decorations
The guy who is near me collects for charity, though my next door neighbour was grumbling to me that he had 'never done a day's work in his life'. I do wonder how on earth he can afford the electricity in that case .. it must cost an absolute fortune. But I like to see it nonetheless.

I remember my 13th birthday .. I was on the first day of a school trip to France; one of only two times I have been abroad in my life.

Re: Would you rather have gone to MT or SC?
Oh I dunno, I would hope that Darrell and Claudine would have got along well, even though the latter didn't - shock horror - like sports . I love the fact that there is a popular character who isn't in the lacrosse or hockey team *rolls eyes*

Re: A good spanking!!
I noticed that a reference to spanking had been removed from my modern edition of Last Term at Malory Towers. It's not yet illegal here in the UK but it's definitely not PC
That said, I can't help thinking that Blyton went rather too far with her continual references to corporal punishment.

Re: Pets
My nephew just got bought a hamster for his birthday. I don't normally like very small rodents - I am not scared of them but I just find them a bit pointless - but I have to say that this is rather sweet . Predictably, he's called it Hammy *rolls eyes*
